Dr. Amy Clements-Cortes , Assistant Professor, University of Toronto, Music and Health Research Collaboratory; Music Therapy Instructor & Graduate Supervisor, Wilfrid Laurier University; and Senior Music Therapist/Practice Advisor, Baycrest Centre, Toronto. She is a Registered Psychotherapist, President of the World Federation of Music Therapy, Managing Editor of the Journal of Music and Medicine, and Board Member for the Room 217 Foundation. She has served as a President and Internship Chair for the Canadian Association for Music Therapy (CAMT). She is published in multiple journals and has given over 100 invited academic and conference presentations.

My main areas of research include: 1.Use of music therapy and expressive arts in support of healthy aging, mental health and wellbeing across the lifespan including palliation; 2.Improving health (e.g. promoting sleep and relaxation, reducing pain) and healthcare environments through music, technology, product & program development; and 3.Improving the quality of professional education through program evaluation, ethics review and clinical supervision.
My past research has explored the application of music and music therapy techniques in alleviating emotional distress (e.g. anxiety, grief, pain and relationship completion in palliative care and rehabilitation).I have also studied the application of music, singing and electronic music technologies toward new product and program development (e.g. Guidelines for implementing choirs for persons with dementia).

Gerard A. Tobin has worked internatioanlly in Oxford UK, Trinity College Dublin and in the USA. His completed his PhD in Trinity College Dublin and continues his research around areas of end of life care, truth telling, givien and receiving a cancer diagnosis and in teaching qualitative metholodogy at uundergrtaduate and graduate level. He is currently the Associate Dean for Graduatre Nurings and has worked with Melilnda as adviser on her capstone project which is the focus of the Poster Presentation submitted.

C.Dietrich has completed her medical specialisation in psychiatry and psychotherapy in 2005. Since then she is working in her own private practice in Berlin as a psychotherapist, musictherapist and relaxationtherapist. Besides her medical education she is a trained classical singer and underwent a further training in receptive musictherapy. ( GIM). Since 2010 she was seriously involved in two research studies on receptive musictherapy with the Body Tambura in the field of palliative care in Lazarus hospice in Berlin and St. Joseph´s hospice in Dindigul/ Southindia. She recently completed her further training in palliative medicine. She is the chief trustee and founder of Zuflucht e.V germany, which is constantly supporting the work of St. Joseph´s hospice/ Dindigul, Southindia.

Michael Ian Rothenberg, Ph.D, LCSW is a Board Certified Clinical Sexologist, Certified Sex Therapist and the Founder and Clinical Director of the Center for Counseling and Sexual Health of Winter Park, Florida. As a sexuality educator, Dr. Rothenberg has held a long term faculty position, in Orlando, Florida, at the University of Central Florida (UCF), School of Social Work, where he developed the curriculum in Human Sexuality and taught courses on human sexuality and sexual behavior. Dr. Rothenberg, a former Hospice Social Worker, credited with creating the Sexological sub-field of Thanatological Clinical Sexology, has published numerous articles relating to human sexuality and lectures, both nationally and internationally, at universities, hospitals and hospices, on topics related to human sexuality, sexual behavior and sexual health.

Dr. Caprice Knapp is a health economist and health services researcher. She studied at the University of Florida. For the past 10 years she has worked in the palliative care community. She has actively been engaged in research, teaching, and advocacy. She has published numerous peer-review articles on children's palliative care. Specifically she works on models of care, outcomes of care, and decision making. She has taught at all levels of the University and more than 450 nurses and social workers. She co-authored a book with Dr. Susan Fowler-Kerry (U. of Saskatchewan) on Pediatric Palliative Care: Global Perspectives.

Dr. Santosh Kumar Chaturvedi, M.D.; FRCPsych is the Dean, Behavioural Sciences and Professor of Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences, Bangalore, India. He is a Member of the International Psycho-Oncology Society and Indian Association of Palliative Care and was a Member of Board of Directors, International Psycho Oncology Society. He regularly conducts Workshop on Communication Skills in Oncology and Palliative Care settings, and also trains trainers in teaching Communication skills. His areas of interest include consultation liaison psychiatry, chronic pain, psychosocial oncology, palliative care and quality of life research.

Rab Razzak is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Director of Outpatient Palliative Medicine and Hospitalist. After obtaining his medical degree from Bangladesh Medical College, he completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Centre in Paterson, New Jersey. His research and clinical interests, which include outpatient palliative care delivery systems, medical education, self-care, and community engagement. Outside of the clinic, Rab has been actively involved in community and healthcare advocacy via Doctors for America, Global Human Services and UMMA Clinic in Los Angeles. He is also an amateur stand-up comic.

Dr. Senderovich is a physician at Baycrest Health Science System. Her practice is focused on Palliative Care, Pain Medicine and Geriatrics. She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and Division of Palliative Care at the University of Toronto who is actively involved teaching medical students and residents. She has broad international experience and a solid research background. Her research was accepted nationally and internationally. She is an author of multiple manuscripts focused on geriatrics, patient - centered care, ethical and legal aspect of doctor-patient relationship, palliative and end-of-life care

Faisal Abdullatif Alnasir is currently Professor and Chairman of the Department of Family & Community Medicine. He was the former Vice President of the Arabian Gulf University and also served for eight years as the President of the Scientific Council of Family & Community Medicine in the Arab Board for Health Specialties. He was the first and the only Bahraini Physician to obtain MRCGP and FFPH of the UK, and Ph.D. in Family Medicine.

His Research Interest include Hypertension, Sleep Disturbance in Children, Properties of lactation,Biological changes in the elderly, Perception of schoolteachers about common Health Problem etc.

Shahram Vaziri has PhD in Clinical Psychology, post doc. in psycho-oncology and also psychosomatic medicine. He is a faculty member of Islamic Azad University, has published about 40 papers in journals and in conferences. He won the best Research Paper Award back in 2005 from Indian Academy of Applied Psychology. He has been the vice president of research deputy of Islamic Azad University, the member of scientific board, executive secretory and the member of scientific committee of 10 conferences. He has written a number of books in the field of Children Psychology. He founded the First Counseling and Psychotherapy Center in the Medical Center Islamic Azad University.
